Job summary

StandardAero in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Co-op Engineer to gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams delivering aviation solutions. The role offers exposure to real-world projects, documentation, and process improvements in a structured internship.

You will engage in data analysis, program feasibility, and tools design while developing CAD and lean methods within a manufacturing context. Candidates must be enrolled and able to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering-related curriculum at university level.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Research the viability of a new program or initiative; compile and present statistics.
• Clean up, edit and update a database.
• Conduct a failure analysis and investigation.
• Evaluate and improve efficiency, streamline programs, or cut costs.
• Perform a study or survey; analyze and present results.
• Compile employee manuals or develop process directions for tasks.
• Conduct a cost benefit analysis to upgrade on a specific material/machine.
• Design tooling or ground support equipment.
• Work on a continuous improvement project resulting in a measurable improvement.
• Carries out other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Current enrollment in engineering related curriculum at a university level
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S Principles
• Project Management Experience with CAD and simulation software
• Lean Green Belt Certification preferred
• Project Experience in manufacturing setting preferred
• The ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints.
• The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
• The ability to sit for extended periods of time.
