Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking a student pursuing engineering or construction management to join our Dickinson, ND office for a six-month Co-op. You will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications after successful examinations and demonstrated ability.

As a Co-op, you will perform testing on soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Onsite materials testing will occur on various commercial and transportation projects, collaborating with project managers and other technicians to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Full-time commitment for 6 months: mid-May to November/December or January to July in some regions.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
• Working safely with a proactive attitude and overtime/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Onsite materials testing on diverse projects, coordinate with project managers and technicians to ensure specs.
• Gain field experience and communicate with construction crews onsite.
• Participate in 3-day training including safety, soil compaction, ACI certification, radiation safety, and related training.
• Be paired with a professional engineer as a mentor throughout the experience.
• Learn procedures and exposure to ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC and DOT standards.
