Western Digital is seeking a Read/Write Channel Integration Engineer co-op in Minnesota. This internship focuses on integrating vendor channels to enhance HDD read/write performance and on testing hardware with lab equipment.

You will develop test plans, analyze results, and support tool development in a hands-on setting. You will work with WD’s engineering teams and vendor partners, applying software skills to build reliable test tools and contributing to an early-career development program

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Persistence on problem/issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Integration of vendor channels to maximize HDD read/write performance.
• Test HDDs in a hands-on lab-based environment, using oscilloscopes for failure analysis.
