Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Co-Occurring Disorder Counselor to provide outpatient substance use and mental health treatment. The role requires licensure in Maryland and adherence to regulatory standards, delivering evidence-based therapy within a multi-site program.

The contractor will handle treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners, ensuring high-quality, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Maryland licensure in specified disciplines listed in the contract options.
• Experience providing outpatient substance use disorder treatment with co-occurring disorders is preferred.
• Ability to adhere to COMAR, CARF, CSA and related regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide co-occurring disorder counseling for clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Develop and review initial treatment plans and maintain clinical documentation.
• Deliver structured outpatient treatment using evidence-based models and maintain program fidelity.
• Coordinate with program coordinators and external providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Complete documentation and invoicing in a timely manner per program requirements.
