Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is seeking a Lead/Co-Lead Teacher for the ECLC program in New Albany, OH. This full-time role requires supervising assistants, co-planning lessons, and maintaining Brightwheel documentation to support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities include overseeing weekly lesson plans, parent communications, and assessments, while collaborating with staff to maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment that follows

Qualifications

• Education and training in early childhood development or related field.
• Experience with young children preferred (two years minimum).
• Knowledge of secular and Judaic curricula is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise safe classroom activities supporting children’s development.
• Co-lead lesson planning and parent communication; manage HiMama documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and supervise assistants/substitutes.
• Oversee Brightwheel communications, newsletters, and daily reports to families.
• Meet individual needs of children and participate in monthly staff meetings.
