Role Summary

We are hiring a VP of Brand Marketing & Messaging to own and drive the story of SQOR.ai. This is not a pure strategy role. You will be both the architect and the writer of our narrative — building the messaging playbook, creating content that cuts through the noise, and ensuring that every artifact, from investor decks to sales enablement, reflects the same clear, compelling voice.

This is a builder’s role. You will write, edit, and publish across formats. You will craft messaging frameworks that align the entire company. You will collaborate with Product, Sales, PLG, and the Office of the CEO to ensure consistency and resonance in everything we put into the world. And you will guard the integrity of our brand voice as it scales across multiple audiences, channels, and use cases.

Your success will put you on track for Chief Brand Officer. But the title will not be handed to you. You will earn it through sharp positioning, consistent execution, and narrative dominance.

Ideal Candidate

You are a storyteller who can also think like a strategist. You have proven experience crafting messaging frameworks, investor decks, and sales enablement assets that drive results. You understand how to shape a company’s narrative across customers, investors, and the market — and you know how to do it hands-on, with words.

  • You are obsessed with clarity of message and consistency across channels.
  • You have written and edited decks, websites, blogs, sales battlecards, and social posts — and you love it.
  • You have supported investor relations and understand how to speak the language of venture capital and private equity.
  • You have worked closely with sales, product, and PLG teams to align messaging with go-to-market execution.
  • You believe AI can amplify speed and reach, but you know that brand trust comes from authentic words and a clear voice.
  • You do not coast. You do not clockwatch. You take ownership of the story and hold the line.

Compensation

Every member of our 18-person team is here because they believe in what we’re building. We are all-in, working for equity with full ownership and commitment. For the right VP of Brand Marketing & Messaging, we’re offering approximately 1 percent (60,000 shares) equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Messaging Playbook: Build and maintain the company-wide messaging framework, covering all ICPs, use cases, and verticals.
  • Investor Narrative: Partner with the CEO to craft fundraising decks, partner materials, investor updates, and strategic communications.
  • Sales Enablement: Write and refine battlecards, pitch decks, one-pagers, and solution briefs for Sales and channel partners.
  • Content Creation: Write and edit across all formats — blogs, newsletters, social, white papers, case studies, video scripts, and website copy.
  • Product Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with Product and PLG teams to ensure messaging is reflected in product copy, in-app experiences, and go-to-market campaigns.
  • Website & Application Copy: Own the clarity, consistency, and tone of all external-facing product and site content.
  • Content Calendar: Own the editorial calendar, ensuring consistent publication across thought leadership, social, and investor-facing channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, and the Office of the CEO to translate insights and updates into compelling narratives.
  • AI-Enabled Storytelling: Leverage AI tools for scale and speed, while ensuring all final output is in the voice of SQOR.ai’s messaging playbook.
  • Guard the Voice: Train and align the team around the messaging framework so that all communications — internal and external — reflect a single clear narrative.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in brand, messaging, or content leadership roles in B2B SaaS, ideally with exposure to AI, BI, or analytics markets.
  • Proven track record in building messaging frameworks and writing content across multiple formats.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; able to distill complex concepts into crisp, persuasive copy.
  • Experience supporting investor relations, including creating VC and PE-facing decks and communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Product, Sales, and PLG to align messaging with execution.
  • Hands-on operator who enjoys writing, not just delegating.
  • AI fluent and confident using AI to accelerate content creation, but disciplined in ensuring authentic voice and narrative integrity.
  • Comfortable moving fast and maintaining consistency under pressure.
