What You Will Do:

The Co-Chief Inspector will work closely with the Quality Manager and current Chief Inspector to ensure the smooth operation of our Quality Management System and oversee all return-to-service processes.

In this role, you'll:

  • Collaborate with the current Chief Inspector to develop and implement procedures that comply with all relevant Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturers' specifications for engine and airframe maintenance.

  • Support and implement the Pratt & Whitney Engine Services Internal Quality Management System.

  • Ensure we comply with FAA regulations, ISO 9001:2008, and AS 9100 / AS9110 standards.

  • Oversee various PWES processes and policies, including inspection, calibration, shelf life, unserviceable items, and technical data (both external OEM and internal checklists/forms).

  • Create, update, and maintain all regulatory documentation.

This role may involve working overtime or extended shifts as needed, with expected travel up to 10%.

FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program – This position is covered under the PWES FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. The selected candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment FAA drug screen.

Vision Program – This position is covered under the PWES Vision program, and the selected candidate will be a participant in this program.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Associate’s degree and 6+ years of Quality, Engineering, Inspector or Auditor experience; OR 2-year post high school training and 6+ years of relevant industry experience; OR we will also consider 8+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access and handle sensitive data required to support our government and military programs.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P Certificate)

  • Certified in ACE, CORE or SixSigma

  • Experience with MRO return to service functions

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration regulations

  • Internal/ External Auditor experience/ Experience as a Lead Auditor

  • Training / working knowledge of AS9100 / AS9110

  • Working Knowledge of technical specifications, repair manuals and standards

  • Familiar with engine disassembly, assembly and test process (DAT)

  • Familiar with inspection and measurement instruments and tools

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
