Vista Health is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team on a full-time basis. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule, collaborative practice, and meaningful patient care across diverse surgical settings.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia evaluations, anesthesia care planning, and perioperative monitoring. Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in Illinois.
• APRN license valid in Illinois.
• Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Current NBCRNA certificate.
• BLS and ACLS current.
• PALS preferred but not required.
• DEA registration and regulated substances authority if required.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with the team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
• Administer anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, obstetric, and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
• Respond to on-call requirements and emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons and perioperative staff to ensure patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies and regulations.
• Adhere to patient safety and infection control standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, obstetric, and therapeutic procedures

• Respond to scheduled on-call requirements and emergency cases as neededCollaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and perioperative staff to ensure quality patient outcomes

• Adhere to all patient safety, infection control, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
• Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification preferred, but not required
• DEA registration and controlled substance authority, if required by the position
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team
