Job summary

Vista Health System is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team in Illinois. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, a collaborative practice environment, and the opportunity to provide anesthesia care across diverse surgical and procedural settings.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia evaluations, individualized anesthesia plans, administration of anesthesia, and perioperative monitoring.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
• Current NBCRNA certification.
• Current Illinois RN and APRN licenses.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred).
• DEA registration and controlled substance authority, if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, obstetric, and therapeutic procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration
• Respond to scheduled on-call requirements and emergency cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and perioperative staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Adhere to all patient safety, infection control, and quality standards

Essential Responsibilities

• Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification preferred, but not required
• DEA registration and controlled substance authority, if required by the position
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team
