Job summary

CACI International Inc in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a CNO Software & Reverse Engineer to design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software for mission-focused projects. You will work closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and engineers to deliver tangible results in challenging environments.

The role requires extensive software development experience, including C, C++, Python, and assembly, with a strong grasp of networking and security concepts. TS/SCI with poly is required.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience or 10+ years with MS (an additional 4 years can substitute for a bachelor’s degree).
  • Hands-on experience developing and modifying software in C, C++, Python, and Assembly.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and network traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Familiarity with Git and Subversion version control systems.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Enhance and expand existing toolsets to meet evolving mission needs.
  • Derive, document, and analyze technical and mission requirements.
  • Build end‑to‑end software solutions that operate effectively within mission constraints.

The Opportunity

Join a highly skilled engineering team where you will serve as a versatile Software Engineer and CNO Reverse Engineer supporting innovative, mission‑focused projects. You will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate software solutions that directly enable mission success. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow engineers to deliver tactical, real‑world impact.

  • Ability to provide support and troubleshooting for fielded software systems.
  • Familiarity with Git and Subversion version control systems.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Desired
  • Experience reverse engineering Windows or embedded/RTOS platforms.
  • Background developing CNO‑specific software for Windows, Linux, or embedded environments.
  • Experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, Rust.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability research and exploit development.
  • Understanding of end‑to‑end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.

$131,800 - $290,000
