Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Software Developer to design and implement custom tools on Windows and Linux platforms. The role focuses on C/C++ and Python, with opportunities to work on Unix, Windows, and mobile capabilities, and to mentor junior developers.

The position requires 5-7 years of experience, strong knowledge of network protocols, and familiarity with IDA Pro or Ghidra. Top Secret/SCI + CI Poly clearance is required, with a salary range that aligns to market standards.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience programming in C/C++ or similar and Python
• In-depth understanding of network protocols
• In-depth understanding of OS internals
• Familiarity with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or similar binary analysis tool a plus
• Knowledge of common CNO techniques
• Ability to gather requirements and design a solution with minimal oversight
• Ability to present a development plan and forecast deliverables
• Strong familiarity with software security technologies such as ASLR and DEP
• Experience with additional architectures (ARM, RISC, PPC etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain custom software tools and techniques.
• Debug customer problems using industry standard tools and custom toolsets.
• Perform end-to-end design, development, and testing of software.
• Write documentation for operating and supporting the software.
• Mentor and lead junior developers; participate in code reviews.
• Attend design meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Interface with developers and customer personnel to solve problems and communicate requirements.
