Heartland Women’s Healthcare in Illinois is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join our OB/GYN practice in Marion and Carbondale. The position offers day-call duties with no weekend or overnight commitments, hospital privileges with SIH Memorial Hospital, and competitive compensation.

The CNM will provide full-scope midwifery services, participate in interdisciplinary teams, manage antepartum to postpartum care, and support families through pregnancy and postpartum periods.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in midwifery.
• Active RN license.
• CNM certification by AMCB.
• Preferred Illinois license, DEA and CDS.
• 2+ years of CNM or Labor & Delivery experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide full scope nurse-midwifery services including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care, as well as well-woman care and family planning.
• Maintain productivity to meet annual client encounters.
• Lead/interdisciplinary teams and contribute to annual health care action plans.
• Perform history and physical exams for new and returning clients.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with physicians.
• Refer patients to follow-up care as needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (ultrasounds, blood tests).
• Provide emotional support during labor and pregnancy.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vitals; identify high-risk pregnancies.
• Administer medications during labor; post-partum care for mothers and newborns.
• Support parents through miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death.
• Maintain accurate medical records; keep hospital delivery privileges active.
