Job summary

UnityTec is seeking a Computer Network Defense (CND) Analyst to actively protect, monitor, and defend enterprise networks in Battle Creek, MI. Travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required. The role focuses on CND compliance, IA tool sustainment, and robust perimeter defenses, with responsibility for threat detection and incident response.

Qualifications include CSSP-IR/CNDSP certification, 5+ years of experience, and strong logs/SIEM expertise. Candidates must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Certification from a nationally recognized authority meeting DOD 8570.01 CSSP-IR.
• Must possess and maintain CNDSP/CSSP-IR certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Experience working within a SIEM.
• Experience analyzing logs from multiple sources (system event logs, F5, Firewall).
• Experience reviewing and analyzing network traffic through packet captures.
• Strong written and verbal skills to document and brief cybersecurity incidents.

Responsibilities

• Threat Detection & Incident Response: monitor, detect, analyze, and mitigate unauthorized activities and emerging threats.
• Compliance & Vulnerability Management: SME for CND compliance; use IA tools to perform correlation analysis, track vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation, escalate non-compliance.
• Security Tool Sustainment: provide ongoing analysis and maintenance of IA tools and applications.
• Perimeter Defense & Network Security: assist in applying Defense-In-Depth signatures and perimeter controls to reduce threats.
