Job summary

Stanton Millworks is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our cabinetmaking team in the Tri-state area. You’ll turn precise designs into finished wood parts, set up CNC equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet exact specs with meticulous quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of CNC experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• Cabinetmaking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking CNC machinery to produce parts that meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Operate edgebander and wood dowel machines.
• Load and secure materials, adjust machine settings, and select and install the proper tools, bits, and cutters for each job.
• Read and interpret blueprints and design drawings to understand project requirements.
• Monitor operations, take measurements, detect malfunctions, edit programs, and sharpen or replace worn tools to maintain specifications.
• Set machining controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Follow quality assurance procedures and inspect work for accuracy.
• Perform routine cleaning and lubrication, troubleshoot CNC equipment, and make minor repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of materials, machine settings, operations, and finished product dimensions.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other team members to improve manufacturability.
• Help manage inventory of materials, tools, and equipment used in CNC operations.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
