Job summary

Lakeside Manufacturing, Inc. in Milwaukee is seeking a skilled fabricator to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures from laminate, wood, plywood and wallboard. You will study blueprints, select materials, and determine fabrication methods.

You will operate a CNC Wood Router and edgebander, lay up laminate, and assemble components using nails, dowels, or glue. Basic knowledge of woodworking tools is preferred and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints or sketches for materials and dimensions.
• Experience assisting engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Proficiency in laying out and assembling wood components.
• Familiarity with basic woodworking tools.

Responsibilities

• Studies blueprints or sketches for information pertaining to material requirements and dimensions.
• Assists Engineering to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Prepares layout and marks cutting/assembly lines.
• Shapes materials to prescribed measurements.
• Assembles cut and shaped materials with nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Program and run CNC Wood Router.
• Set up and run edgebander.
• Edgeband complex laminate designs by hand.
• Lay up laminate and veneer on sheets of substrate.
• Slot and T-mold panels.
• General knowledge of woodworking tools.
