Staging Dimensions in New Castle, DE is seeking a Wood Fabrication Specialist to program and operate a Laguna CNC Router using VCarve, read plans, and collaborate with designers to deliver high-quality set pieces and furniture.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• 2 years of VCarve programming experience.
• Trade school graduate or equivalent.
• Team player with positive attitude.
• Knowledge of plastics & Plexiglas, AutoCAD and SolidWorks a plus.
• Experience with laminates, tongue & groove and veneers desired.
• Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and translate into fabricated products.
• Sufficient strength and dexterity for team lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Laguna CNC Router using VCarve software.
• Work with routers, sanders, saws, drills, etc.
• Read and interpret plans, sketches and shop drawings.
• Collaborate with designers to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high production levels with quality.
• Respond to quick-turn orders and adapt.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Determine wood stock type and dimensions.
• Nest parts to minimize waste.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work areas.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
