Job summary

The role requires safe operation of VTLs to maintain high quality and productivity in a precision manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of CNC operator experience, the ability to read blueprints, and operate independently while upholding strict quality and safety standards. Aerospace/machining background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CNC operator experience.
• Prefer experience with CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Manufacturing or aerospace machining experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Operate CNC turning equipment independently while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) safely and efficiently.
• Maintain quality control throughout machining.
• Monitor machining operations to meet specs.
• Inspect and measure parts using precision instruments.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Operate multiple CNC machines when assigned.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Follow SOPs, quality standards, and safety rules.
• Communicate with team across shifts.
• Maintain production records and documentation.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Report defective materials to VP of Operations.
• Complete additional duties as needed.
