A Snapshot of Your Day

As a CNC Vertical Boring Machine (VBM) Operator, you will be responsible for the precise manufacturing of components using CNC VBM machinery, ensuring adherence to safe and efficient production processes. You will operate and monitor the VBM equipment, ensuring that all products meet high-quality standards and are produced within specified timelines. Your role involves continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

You will work with minimal supervision, managing your workflow by setting up machines, selecting tools, and making adjustments to maintain optimal performance.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Set up and operate large VBMs, performing various machining operations on a variety of parts and components.
  • Set up and operate CNC VBM with various control software.
  • Operate machines using various tables and fixtures.
What You Bring
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC boring machines with Siemens and/or FANUC controls.
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Strong math skills, ability to follow complex drawings, and perform precise measurements.
  • Proven ability to use precision gauges and set tooling accurately, preferably on large diameters.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Fork Truck and Critical Lift (B+) crane licenses.
  • Ability to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Silver National Career Readiness Certificate.
