Job summary

Avalign Technologies is seeking a Turret Punch Press Lead to join our manufacturing team on the 3rd shift. The role involves scheduling jobs from the dispatch list, setting up tooling, and delivering tooling and sheet stock to the turret to ensure efficient production.

You will read blueprints, compute punch charts, and perform quality checks with gauges. You’ll train new employees and support cross-team collaboration to meet quality specifications and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule work orders in the correct sequence on the correct turret based on the daily dispatch sheet.
• Manage tool and die inventory, sharpening tooling and dies, replacing defective tooling, and ordering replacements.
• Maintain and count sheet steel and aluminum inventory; perform daily counts and transact materials.
• Fill in as Turret Set-Up/Operator when needed.
• Read blueprints and determine operations; compute punch charts and punch holes in nonmetallic materials.
• Use gauges to perform quality checks and report dimensional problems.
• Maintain tooling and equipment in a safe, clean workspace; follow safety guidelines.
• Train new employees as required.
