Job summary

NTA Precision Axle Manufacturing in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a Turning Operator to run CNC lathe and milling equipment, load and inspect parts, and adjust offsets. The role requires attention to part accuracy and the use of precision gauges.

Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with 2nd shift +$2.00 and 3rd shift +$3.00. Able to work overtime and weekends as needed; benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic decimals calculation accuracy.
• Experience in manufacturing with automated or robotic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings and decide on quality/offsets.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools used in machining.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and/or milling machines and load/unload parts.
• Verify part quality using preset gauges and measurements.
• Read job instructions and perform basic math calculations.
• Set offsets and adjust tooling to meet specs.
• Record production results and perform daily maintenance.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and follow ISO requirements.
