Job summary

HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist - Trainer to lead hands-on training and classroom sessions in East Hartford, CT.

The role combines instructional design with practical machining duties, requiring 5+ years of CNC experience and 2+ years in a training or leadership role. You will mentor apprentices and help optimize production processes on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of training or leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience in turning, Swiss turning, mill-turn, and milling.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret CAD models.
• Commitment to safety and quality on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive CNC training programs.
• Lead classroom and hands-on sessions; assess and provide feedback.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training curriculum with CNC advancements.
• Create work instructions and training aids for operators.
