Job summary

Fusion Optix, a leading Made in USA manufacturer of LED lighting products and optical components, is seeking a skilled CNC Technician/Machinist for routing, laser cutting, and machining operations in Woburn, MA.

You will program and operate CNC equipment, read engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet specifications. Proficiency with G-code, CAM software, and EnRoute is preferred; attention to detail and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Technician; routing, laser cutting, and machining operations.
• Technical or vocational training with a CNC machining component is preferred.
• Proficiency in programming CNC equipment using industry-standard software such as G-code, EnRoute, or CAM software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Program and optimize CNC programs for routing, laser cutting, and machining equipment based on drawings and production requirements.
• Operate and monitor CNC equipment to fabricate components per specifications.
• Perform regular inspections of machined parts to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot CNC issues including machine malfunctions and tooling problems.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve technical problems and minimize downtime.
• Continuously improve machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Maintain production logs and records of CNC programs and settings.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
