Job summary

Cadence, Inc. is seeking CNC Technicians in Staunton, VA to set up, operate and troubleshoot CNC machines that produce precision medical device components. You'll adjust tooling, verify programs, and ensure high quality and safety in every part.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to read work instructions. Training will be provided for our proprietary CNC equipment in a climate-controlled, stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC‑controlled equipment to ensure efficient production.
  • Install tooling, set offsets, and prepare machines for runs.
  • Load and verify CNC programs as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate complex problems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team to improve processes and efficiency.

Cadence, Inc. of Staunton, VA, is seeking CNC Technicians to join our precision manufacturing team. As a leading medical device manufacturer, we produce high-quality precision components used in life-changing healthcare products.

About The Role

As a Technician, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC-controlled production equipment for manufacturing precision medical device components. You will work with specialized equipment, perform machine adjustments, and help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy hands‑on technical work, and are eager to learn, we will provide the training you need to succeed with our proprietary CNC equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC‑controlled production equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Install tooling, set tool offsets, and prepare machines for production runs.
  • Load and verify CNC programs as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate complex problems when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and health regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC‑controlled equipment is preferred, but not required.
  • Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with tooling, machine offsets, and CNC program verification.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably medical device manufacturing.

1st Shift Schedule: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Thursday or 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday

2nd Shift Schedule: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday

40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime based on business need.
