Kadant Johnson is seeking a results-driven CNC Technician for the 1st shift at our Three Rivers, Michigan facility. The role focuses on operating and maintaining CNC equipment to maximize efficiency and quality.

You will work with the CNC team to ensure precise parts, timely setups, and safe, productive processes. The position requires a high school diploma; CNC programming experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience operating or programming CNC machine tools preferred but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow prints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect quality of material entering the department and quality of parts being produced.
• Cooperate with CNC Manufacturing Department to improve quality and boost productivity.
• Ensure setup and programming information is correct and report corrections to Programmers.
• Execute duties assigned by the CNC Supervisor promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, neat work area to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Comply with part drawing tolerances, document first-piece inspection on print, and perform cross-checks.
• Keep supervisor informed about department operations and any problems.
• Identify areas for safety improvements and act accordingly.

Overview

Kadant Johnson is seeking a results-driven and hands-on colleague to join our manufacturing team as a CNC Technician - 1st Shift at our facility in Three Rivers, Michigan.

The CNC Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC equipment to its optimum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect quality of material entering the department and quality of parts being produced


• Cooperate with other members of the CNC Manufacturing Department to improve quality and boost productivity


• Make sure all setup and programming information is correct and promptly inform Programmers of any corrections


• Perform duties assigned by the CNC Supervisor promptly and efficiently


• Maintains clean, neat work area to minimize accident and injury exposure


• Conform to all part drawing tolerances, document first-piece inspection on print, and maintain cross checks as instructed.


• Keeps supervisor informed regarding operations of the department and any problems that arise


• Safety conscious and identifies areas to be improved upon

Qualifications

• High School Diploma


• Experience operating or programming CNC machine tools preferred but not required

Additional Requirements

• Technical Skills: Good basic knowledge of the standard practice, methods, materials, precision tools, shop math, trigonometry, CNC programming, personal computer operations, fixtures, and cutting tools used in a computerized manufacturing environment.
