Job summary

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a CNC Technician for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of CNC machines and production equipment.

The role requires reading drawings and schematics to troubleshoot issues and performing preventive maintenance to keep operations safe and efficient. The technician will identify causes of malfunctions, repair and test equipment, replace faulty components, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and other production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify the causes of malfunctions.

• Support environmental initiatives by identifying process improvements, reducing waste, and responding to environmental performance findings.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with 6S procedures and safety requirements.
• Operate a forklift as needed.

Accountabilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and other production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify the causes of malfunctions.

• Diagnose, repair, and test malfunctioning equipment and machinery.

• Replace faulty electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components as needed.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide emergency maintenance support to minimize production downtime.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience repairing and troubleshooting CNC equipment preferred.
• Ability to identify nonconforming or potentially nonconforming products and stop production or prevent shipment when necessary.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Basic computer proficiency required.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including mechanical and electronic systems related to industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in a related technical field preferred.
