Job description

CNC Machine Operators are responsible for setting up and operating various machines to support our fabrication process. In addition to machine centers, co-workers may be periodically assigned to fabrication tasks. The role involves operating the MG and Ficep drill machines, among other duties.

1st shift opportunity

Areas of responsibility:
  • Loading and unloading machines with first piece checks and required documentation
  • Performing burning, punching, drilling, grinding, and brake operator assistance, material handling, or other miscellaneous operations
  • Operating portable grinders to rough grind burrs, scale, rough edges, or welds on various structural steel parts
  • Using hand lift trucks, overhead cranes, or hoists to lift, move, or position products in work or storage areas
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED preferred, with technical training; equivalent machining experience required if formal training is absent
  • Basic knowledge to operate CNC equipment
  • Experience with material handling equipment (jib and overhead cranes) and proper lifting techniques
  • Accurate layout and measuring experience is a plus
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
