• Learn basic CNC programming: input tool offsets, adjust settings, perform minor edits.
• Perform basic maintenance: clean, lubricate, and replace worn components.
• Monitor processes and adjust as directed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect parts with precision instruments to verify conformance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and identify process improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols in operation and handling of CNC equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area for safety and productivity.

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for CNC Swiss Set Up Operator I who is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines to produce precision components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the setup of CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling
• Learn to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to understand machining requirements
• Assist in the operation of CNC Swiss machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and complex geometries
• Learn basic CNC programming skills to input tool offsets, adjust machine settings, and perform minor program edits
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on CNC Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as directed by senior operators or supervisors to ensure quality and efficiency
• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
• Assist in troubleshooting machining issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipment
