Job summary

ARCH Medical Solutions – Seabrook is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to operate and set up Swiss and other CNC machines. The role focuses on inspection, process control, and collaboration within a small team in a precision environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a proven ability to troubleshoot. The position offers competitive wages and opportunities for shift-based differential in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proficient with CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss.

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set-up machines within the department.
• Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in-process plans.
• Monitor equipment and tooling; notify manager if breakdown occurs.
• Follow setup sheets, drawings and programs.
• Assist training of new team members and operators.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; adhere to safety requirements.
• Ensure tasks align with Seabrook Quality System procedures.

• Strong CNC Swiss setup and troubleshooting capabilities
• Excellent mechanical inspection skills
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints with true position and profile callouts
• Proven problem-solving skills with minimal support
• A clean, efficient, and organized work style
• Flexibility to adapt to lower volume production runs (25 to 50 pieces per order)
• Required experience machining stainless steels including 17-4, 455, and 465

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and set-up machines within the department.
• Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in process inspection plans.
• Continuously monitor equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process, notify department manager to resolve the problem.
• Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings and/or programs.
• Assist with training of new team members and operators.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to company safety requirements.
• Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years related experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient with one or more of the following CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss.
• Experienced in use of caliper, micrometer, OC and height gage for dimensional inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong mechanical and trouble shooting ability.
• Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Physical Demands:

• Light to moderate physical exertion required
• Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs.: 50
• Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
