Job summary

You will perform preventive maintenance, guide lower-level machinists, and ensure inspection accuracy with CMM, micrometers, and calipers.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

• Use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances.

Responsibilities

Essential job functions include:

• Set up and operate and maintain Tsugami Lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Program, adjust, and optimize Swiss screw machines for maximum efficiency
• Perform scheduled and regular preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tolerances
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, comparators, Micro-Hite, CMM, and vision systems.
• Drive problem-solving activities for complex machine or process issues.
• Complete and compile documentation related to quality inspection standards.
• Ensure proper material control, identification, and traceability for conforming and nonconforming materials.
• Capable of mentoring and training lower-level machinists.
• Utilize ERP system to document and control inspection and traceability activities.
• Maintain safe working conditions and follow occupational safety and health requirements, including PPE guidance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
