Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Swiss Machine Operator for 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines with minimal supervision.
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect the first piece and obtain approval from the designated person.
- Check parts during production according to procedures, specifications, and customer requirements using gauges such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and depth micrometers.
- Make decisions regarding quality, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
- Inspect work in progress for conformance to functional and aesthetic specifications.
- Identify and resolve routine and some non-routine issues through troubleshooting.
- Set up and perform secondary operations or machines as required.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on all equipment operated.
- Handle tools, equipment, and materials with care.
- Report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Communicate effectively with internal partners regarding tasks.
- Keep the supervisor informed of issues requiring their attention in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Observe safety and housekeeping standards.
- Support company and departmental goals through appropriate actions and behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and internal customers.
- Perform tasks efficiently and timely while meeting quality standards.
