Cutting Edge Machine & Tool is seeking a machinist to join our Swiss department to produce parts with care and precision. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, setting up Swiss lathes, and maintaining quality during every shift.

Experience with Swiss lathes is preferred but not required; applicants should be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and collaborative as part of a larger, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts accurately.
• Willingness to learn how to set up Swiss lathes.
• Experience setting up Swiss lathes or programming machines is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to produce parts to specification.
• Machine parts on Star ECAS20 and Star ECAS32 Swiss lathes.
• Inspect parts throughout the shift using calipers, thread gauges, height gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain proper fluid levels on the machines you operate.
• Keep your work area clean and follow safe work practices.
• Work with teammates in the department and across the organization as needed.
• Help improve processes by identifying waste and putting practical improvements into action.

The parts we make have a purpose. Some help give people who use wheelchairs greater mobility, others go into feeding systems that help farmers care for their animals, and much more. Cutting Edge Machine & Tool is looking for a machinist to join our Swiss department and help make those parts with care and precision.

Experience operating and setting up Swiss machines is preferred, but it is not required. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in accurate work, works well with others, and is eager to learn.
