Job summary

Able Medical Devices in Marquette, MI, is seeking a CNC Operator to produce production and prototype machined parts with CNC centers, Swiss turning and Wire EDM. You will use precision measurement tools and GD&T to ensure conformance and assist with lean manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities include documenting instructions, maintaining 5S in the workspace, collaborating to solve machining issues, and performing preventative maintenance. High school or associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree CNC preferred.
• Competency with MS Office; good written and verbal communication; understands production regulations and quality control processes (gaging/OGP).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machine centers, Swiss turning centers and Wire EDM.
• Document process sheets, prints, tool lists and inspection procedures.
• Lead 5S culture and maintain an orderly work area around equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate to resolve machining problems to meet the production schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspect tooling/fixtures.
• Interpret GD&T to optimize fixturing and programming.
