Job summary

HIWIN Corporation is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician & Operator to join a safety‑driven manufacturing team in Huntley, IL. You will set up Haas CNC mills and lathes, read engineering drawings, and perform in‑process inspections with precision tools.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting production issues, collaborating with Engineering, Quality and Operations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of CNC machining experience, including setup and operation.
• Reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining instructions.
• Solid understanding of the metric system, tolerances and precision measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and machining instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections with precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues to maintain production efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Technician & Operator to join our fast-paced, diverse, and safety-centric team. A typical day may include:

• Setting up and operating Haas CNC mills and lathes
• Reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining instructions
• Performing in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshooting machining, tooling, and quality issues to maintain production efficiency
• Partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to solve production challenges and improve manufacturing processes
• Supporting continuous improvement, safety, and manufacturing excellence

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup and operation
• Experience machining steel, hardened steel, aluminum, and related materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
• Solid understanding of the metric system, including tolerances and precision measurements
