Job summary

Finn-Kool in Beloit, KS is seeking a Set up and Programming technician to read blueprints, program CNC machines, and adjust settings to meet specifications. You will improve accuracy and efficiency of programs for part production and support production goals.

You will train operators, set up fixtures, and maintain high precision with squareness, concentricity, finish and parallelism, while troubleshooting and refining processes as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of 3 and 4 axis machine experience.
• Experience with MasterCam X preferred; training provided.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and set up machines per blueprints.
• Model cutting paths with Mastercam and program machines.
• Design and aid fabrication of fixturing for complex parts.
• Perform QA tests to ensure parts meet specs.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce high-precision components.
• Analyze drawings to determine dimensions, tools, speeds, feeds.
• Adjust paths/settings to optimize production while preserving quality.
• Troubleshoot issues during manufacturing.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and train operators.
• Understand CNC code and edit programs as needed.
• Set machine origins and maintain tight tolerances.
