Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a CNC machinist to operate and set up equipment, read blueprints, and maintain quality in a high-paced production environment. The role requires compliance with safety rules, attention to tolerance specifications, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and follow safety rules, plans, policies and expectations.
  • Maintain quality standards for assembly/packaging of product.
  • Operate hoists and material handling equipment as needed to move product.
  • Study blueprints, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Set up machines and verify machine settings or programmed data.
  • Select and align holding fixtures, tools, and materials on mills, lathes, and presses.
  • Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs and stand up to 12 hours per day.
  • Maintain regular attendance with occasional overtime.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Including the following, other duties may be assigned.

  • Observe and follow all safety rules, plans, policies, and expectations
  • Maintain quality standards established for the assembly and/or packaging of product
  • Work efficiently and achieve established production standards
  • Operate hoists and material handling equipment as necessary to manipulate product
  • Study blueprints, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of

finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements

  • Set-up machines and verifies the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on

machines such as mills, lathes, and presses

  • Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
  • Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly and verify dimensions and alignment of assembly
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance with occasional overtime expected
  • Must be able to work while standing for up to 12 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift without assistance up to 40 lbs.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 Depending on Experience
