Job summary

Monticello Spring is seeking a CNC/Coiler Operator to set up and run CNC coiling machines with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. You will interpret blueprints, adjust tooling, and perform first piece inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders.
  • Fork truck training preferred.
  • This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications.
  • Perform first piece approval, per setup approval process.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material on machines.
  • Performs regular cleaning and maintenance on area and related equipment.
  • Understands and complies with all safety requirements as related to designated machine(s) and/or area.
  • Communicates quality concerns of either product or related equipment to Supervisor.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and order of designated area(s) as to 5S standards.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and order of measuring devices used and communicates to quality any concerns.

CNC/Coiler Operator

As a Setup Operator, you are committed to quality and safety standards. With great attention to detail, you refer to blueprint specifications as your program machinery. This process involves adjusting mechanical components as well as CNC coiling machines. Tool preparation, set-up, trouble-shooting, and process control are a few of your setup duties.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform first piece approval, per set up approval-process.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.

Work Schedule
  • 8-hour shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 11:00pm or 10:30pm to 7:00am
  • Monday through Friday
  • Additional as needed
Job Type
  • Full-time, hourly
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
  • Fork truck training preferred
