MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to support our tooling and manufacturing operations. This role requires independent setup of CNC equipment, tooling adjustments, and editing existing machining programs.

The ideal candidate will read CAD drawings and engineering specifications, apply machining process knowledge, and uphold quality standards while maintaining a safe, organized work environment in Saline, MI.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC machines or programmable metal-cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with mold tooling or injection molding environments preferred
• Basic knowledge of CAM software and CNC programming
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and bore gages
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work overtime as needed to support production schedules
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without visa sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture mold tooling and components from CAD drawings and engineering specifications.
• Load, edit, and adjust machining programs to support production requirements and improve efficiency.
• Perform tool and insert changes, machine adjustments, and minor troubleshooting as needed.
• Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and emergency tooling repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Assist with fabricating or modifying components for other departments as needed.
• Cross-train and support multiple machining operations and work centers.
• Operate material handling equipment, including cranes, hoists, and forklifts, as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Communicate quality or safety concerns promptly and stop production when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
