Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
• US work authorization.
• Reside within commuting distance of Big Bend, WI.

Responsabilités

• Perform Independent Setups: complete, independent machine setups on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
• Tooling & offsets management: adjust tool offsets, establish work holding fixtures, replace cutting tooling.
• Precision part inspection: use micrometers, calipers, height gauges and optical comparators for close-tolerance parts.
• Blueprint & code execution: interpret blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and use GD&T for part integrity.
• Troubleshoot & optimize cell: resolve deviations on 2nd shift to improve cycle times and flow.
• Maintain cell standards: keep a clean, 5S-compliant workstation.

What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)

• Perform Independent Setups: Execute complete, independent machine setups and operations on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
• Tooling & Offsets Management: Adjust tool page offsets, establish work holding fixtures, and replace cutting tooling to maintain tight production tolerances.
• Precision Part Inspection: Inspect close-tolerance components using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gauges, and custom precision tooling.
• Blueprint & Code Execution: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and utilize GD&T principles to ensure full part integrity.
• Troubleshoot & Optimize Cell: Investigate and resolve mechanical or program-related deviations on 2nd shift to optimize cycle times and maintain smooth production flow.
• Maintain Cell Standards: Keep a clean, meticulously organized, safe, and 5S-compliant machining station.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)

• Machining & Setup Depth: 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes.
• Technical Literacy: Demonstrated fluency reading blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, and applying GD&T fundamentals.
• Quality Precision: Proficient with precision hand measurement tools, custom gauges, and inspection equipment to verify close-tolerance part features.
• 2nd Shift Commitment: Lifestyle alignment and absolute readiness for a permanent 2nd shift schedule (Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM).
