Job summary
The Recruiting Hive is looking for a CNC Setup Machinist for a 2nd shift position in Wisconsin. You will perform complete, independent setups on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers, manage tooling and offsets, and inspect tight-tolerance parts using precision instruments.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years of CNC experience with at least 1 year of independent setups, strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills, and a commitment to a Mon–Thu 3:00 PM–1:30 AM schedule in a climate-controlled,
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on mills or lathes.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret G&M codes and apply GD&T fundamentals.
- Proficient with precision hand tools and inspection equipment to verify tight tolerances.
- Permanent 2nd shift schedule: Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM.
- US citizenship or Green Card; reside within commuting distance of Big Bend, WI.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent setups on multi-axis CNC mills and turning centers.
- Manage tooling, offsets, workholding fixtures, and tooling changes.
- Inspect close-tolerance parts using precision instruments.
- Interpret blueprints, modify G&M codes, and apply GD&T for part integrity.
- Troubleshoot machine/program deviations to optimize cycles.
- Maintain a clean, 5S-compliant machining cell.
