Job summary

J. Baur Machining in Mars, PA is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist to join our small, team-oriented shop. You will set up, edit tooling, and run first article inspections, ensuring parts meet tolerance while coordinating with operators.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CNC Set-Up experience, read blueprints confidently, and are proficient with G-code programming. We offer on-the-job training and a collaborative environment in a climate-controlled shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC Set-Up experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret dimensions.
• Experience with Mazak Multi-Tasking Equipment is preferred.
• Basic G/M code programming skills.
• Experience using a CMM for inspection.
• Able to pass drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, edit tooling, and run first article inspections on CNC equipment.
• Read job travelers and blueprints to ensure correct setup.
• Train entry-level machinists and assist with troubleshooting.
• Oversee multiple machines in a fast-paced shop.
• Provide clear communication to operators and colleagues.
