Job summary

4th Axis Machine and Design, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate Haas and Fanuc controls across aerospace, defense, recreation and medical parts. The role supports multiple industries with precision turning and milling.

You’ll perform quality inspections, tool setup, and preventive maintenance while reading blueprints and GD&T under a NASA-certified ISO 9001:2015 environment. Day shift, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Operator experience with CNC Lathe, Mill (horizontal and vertical) and wire EDM.
• Experience with work holding and cutting tool set-up on CNC Lathe, Mill (horizontal and vertical).
• Strong math background, preferable in machine math/shop math.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with both Haas and Fanuc machine controls.
• Ability to read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer.

The CNC Machinist operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of components and devices in multiple industries.

Shifts Available: Day Monday - Friday

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Lathe, Mill and wire EDM
• Perform quality inspection on completed parts
• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance
• Set-up work holding and cutting tools

CNC Machinist Position Requirements:
