Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist II is responsible for machining products to meet customer specifications. This includes operating machining centers, performing medium to complex setups by selecting and installing tooling, updating fixturing, and pulling CNC Lathe and Mill programs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform setups of medium complexity and be familiar with machine controls.
- Load and run parts according to manufacturing plans or product specifications.
- Monitor tooling wear and change tools as needed based on tool life.
- Inspect parts using mechanical gauges such as calipers, mics, and height gauges.
- Set up production parts (non-CFA, FA, or SCR jobs).
- Change tools and offsets during setup to pass internal quality checks.
- Follow shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps, and handle non-conformance activities.
- Read and understand all blueprint call outs.
- Possess advanced GD&T knowledge to interpret prints, programs, and setups.
- Consistently meet job standard times and communicate with supervisors about any deviations.
- Deburr work in process.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives.
- Record clock-in and clock-out operations according to work order sequence.
Requirements:
- Pass a background check and drug test.
- Good near acuity and accommodation for reading gauges, blueprints, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to monitor machine sounds for diagnostics.
- Frequently stand, walk, reach overhead, and bend; sit and handle objects or controls.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work in high noise environments and be aware of safety hazards.
Experience & Education:
- At least four years of experience in a production or job shop environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing scheduling systems like Epicor is a plus.
- Expertise in four and five-axis machining.

Pay and Hours:
Starting at $30.00/hour, depending on experience.
2nd Shift: 4 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday.
Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6 am to 6 pm, paid for 40 hours.
