Position Summary: ITT Micro-Mode seeks an experienced CNC Setup Machinist in El Cajon, CA. This role involves setting up and operating advanced CNC machines, including mill-turn and Swiss screw machines, to produce high-precision components for critical applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Interpreting blueprints, CAD models, and setup sheets.
• Selecting tooling, fixtures, and adjusting machine offsets.
• Performing inspections and adjustments for quality compliance.
• Troubleshooting and resolving setup issues.
• Optimizing machining processes and collaborating with engineers.
• Maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
• Documenting procedures and mentoring junior staff.
• Performing routine maintenance and participating in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• At least 7 years of CNC machining experience, with 3+ years in setup roles.
• Proficiency in CNC operation, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and CAM software.
• Strong math skills, problem-solving abilities, and independence.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Additional Information: The hourly pay range is $35.53 to $53.13, with benefits. This is a full-time, mid-senior level position in manufacturing. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and growth opportunities.
