Job summary

Production Saw & Machine Co. in Michigan is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist for our Short Run team. The ideal candidate will setup jobs from start to finish, including jaws/work holding, tool setups, and basic programming.

You will collaborate with Quality and Engineering to ensure efficient runs, operate CNC machines between setup tasks, and help meet production targets while maintaining machine integrity and data documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC setup experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and tooling requirements.
• Experience setting up jaws/workholding, tooling, and basic programming.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs from start to finish on CNC equipment.
• Communicate with Quality and Engineering to ensure efficient runs.
• Operate CNC machines between setup tasks.
• Meet or exceed efficiency and production rate targets.
• Maintain machine integrity and perform housekeeping.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our Short Run team.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of CNC setup experience
• Be proficient in job set-up- from initial stages to machining jaws/work holding, tool setup, and programming
• Be confident in interpreting blueprints
• Be knowledge and have experience on Lathe, Mills, and Machining Center setups
