Job summary

DBA Web Technologies in Syracuse, NY is seeking a NC-CNC Set-Up & Operation specialist for the 1st shift (6:30am-2:30pm). The role requires residence within 50 miles of Syracuse and a minimum of two years of NC/CNC setup experience.

You will plan and perform setups on engine lathe, milling machines, shapers and grinders, ensuring quality and safety standards. The position offers excellent compensation with benefits and retirement, and is full-time on the 1st shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 2+ years of NC/CNC setup and operation experience.
• Experience with a variety of machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform setups and machining operations on all machine shop equipment listed.
• Select tools, feeds and speeds according to material and finish requirements.
• Square up and layout production runs or special castings to tolerance.
• Work with metals such as steel, iron, brass, bronze and aluminum.
• Layout, machine, fit and assemble jigs and fixtures to facilitate work.
• Determine operation sequences and make computations for dividing head angles and fits.
• Check parts for finish, material quality, and operation correctness.
• Maintain equipment, machines and work area in 5S compliant condition.
