Job summary

Custom Wire Technologies, Inc. on the Port Washington campus is seeking a CNC Set-up Technician for the 1st shift (6 AM to 2 PM).

You will set up and operate CNC machines, adjust processes, and review schedules to deliver high‑quality medical components in a fast paced, job‑shop environment. You’ll work cross‑functionally with engineering, quality and production, perform routine maintenance, and train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3+ years of machine set‑up experience (CNC preferred).
• Manufacturing experience with mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic measurement.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Adaptability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC and related production equipment.
• Adjusting machinery and processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Reviewing work orders and schedules to meet customer needs.
• Performing routine, preventative, and basic corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshooting equipment or process issues.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and setup documentation.
• Working cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Assisting with training and mentoring technicians or production staff.
• Following GMPs, SOPs, and all safety and quality requirements.
