Job summary

ProStaffing is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Technician to support a high-volume precision machining operation in the Hickory, NC area. You will set up CNC machining centers, change tools, troubleshoot, and ensure equipment is ready to produce parts that meet engineering specifications.

The role requires 2–5 years of CNC setup experience in a metal manufacturing environment, ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with G-Code and M-Code.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

Qualifications

We\'re looking for candidates who possess:

• 2–5 years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC equipment independently.
• Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming concepts.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and machine shop equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including loading and managing CNC programs.
• Ability to perform basic math and geometric calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
