Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Set Up Operator II (CNC) for the 2nd shift in Wooster, OH. This role involves setting up and programming machines, supervising ramp-ups, and supporting maintenance to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and experience reading blueprints, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate in English. The position offers comprehensive benefits and shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communications in English.
• Ability to operate medium-complex machinery for inspection.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and programming of operating machines including accuracy and effectiveness checks in first test sequences.
• Oversee ramp up of machines after setup procedure and support Operators in operating the machines.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow documented procedures and processes and maintain accurate records and tracking.
• Check finished product/product component and submit for approval.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
