Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Wooster, OH, seeks a Set Up Operator II (CNC) for the 3rd shift. You will set up and program operating machines, conduct first test sequences and ensure accurate ramp-up and production flow.

You will support machine maintenance, follow procedures, document records, inspect finished components and ensure PPE and safety rules are followed. Prior manufacturing experience and blueprint reading are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to use instruments for measuring and identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communications in English.
• Ability to operate medium-complex machinery for use in inspection.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Preferred: two years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: experience working with power tools.
• Preferred: ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and programming of operating machines including accuracy and effectiveness checks in first test sequences.
• Oversee ramp up of machines after setup procedure and support Operators in operating the machines.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow documented procedures and processes and maintain accurate records and tracking.
• Check finished product/product component and submits for approval.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
