Job description

CNC Set-up Operator - Reynoldsville, PA - 3rd Shift (8p to 6a, M-Th)

Seco Tools is seeking a CNC Walters Set-up Operator to support our round tools facility in Reynoldsville, PA. The role requires working within a team environment from the Seco manufacturing facility and reports to the Area Manager.

Profile and Position Summary

This role is responsible for the production of round tools in our manufacturing facility. We place great value on your personal qualities in this recruitment. You take pride in your analytical and problem-solving skills while having strong experience in medium to low volume manufacturing.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust CNC Machinery to meet all job requirements and specification.
  • Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and sequences.
  • Assess machine operations; movement of parts, gauges, dials, machine sounds to determine potential equipment failures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments to resolve set up problems.
  • Interpret drawings, and/or item attributes and follow routings.
  • Perform in-process inspections according to inspection requirements and protocol.
  • Maintain product specifications by utilizing the appropriate inspection equipment as required.
  • Perform routine operator maintenance as required.
  • Proper knowledge and use of grinding wheels, as well as all required tooling. Ability to properly dress, maintain, and balance wheels as required.
  • Complete all job-related documentation and shop floor data collection accurately.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the Quality Management System.
  • Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. without assistance.
  • Assist with the training of additional employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or other member of Management.
